Actually agree with a lot of your insights on the other post 'Tale of 2 Books.' I don't think singleness is a gift in a way that God actually gave it to you for right now. I mean God is sovereign and He has plans for you, but it's not like He purposely intended to block all other men or women for you for this certain time of 'singlehood' just so you can be close to Him. That sounds like a weirdly, cruel and controlling God, which is unlike His character. He really doesn't impose His will on us.

I actually am curious as to this book. Why don't you write it, brother? It really sounds interesting.

I'm a very independent single Christian girl myself but I'm kind of feeling girl power to be overrated. There's this phenomenon in churches all over the world that men are just not bold in asking out women for some reason or other. Like you, I've read most books written by women and a few written by a guy (except the one who kissed dating away) who don't put much light on the subject.

I'm curious as to your planned book. I know a lot of women will be. So go for it, brother! I hope the Holy Spirit enlightens you on how to move forward with it!

Frankly, this book is SOOOOOO needed. It seems in regards to the discussion regarding marriage, singleness, protracted singleness, and divorce in the Church there is a tendency of extremes and a serious lack of balance. A one size fits all approach is not working, and neither is simply touting a return to traditions due to the safety/nostalgia of the familiar.
